The sessions will be as follows:
MADE – Advanced Note Taking
The transition from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 is a big shift in the depth of the content and the demands put on the student. Many students struggle with trying to apply the reading and note-taking skills that worked in KS4, but now don’t work so well in KS5. This compact workshop shows your students how to become active readers and how to apply the Cornell Method for taking efficient and effective notes; a technique that will serve them well as they progress on to higher levels of study.
Make Happen – Options after Year 11
This session will explore the different types of post-16 qualifications and pathways available so that students feel more prepared to make an informed choice about their next steps.
MADE – Inner Winner
Determination is a key attribute sought after by companies and recruiters worldwide. Having determination requires building resilience, which is the ability to bounce back from setbacks rather than giving up. Determination is sometimes referred to as drive: the determination to get things done, to make things happen and to constantly look for ways to improve. This workshop will help your students develop a powerful internal drive and become an ‘Inner Winner’.
Anglia Ruskin University – Campus Tour
A chance for your students to explore ARU’s Chelmsford Campus with a current student and get a feel for what university life might be like.
