On Wednesday 18 August 2021, the University of Essex is welcoming care-experienced Year 9-13 (or equivalent) students onto its Colchester Campus for a higher education ‘taster day’.
This event has been organised with Make Happen as part of our Future Stars programme.
You’ll certainly have a fun-filled day, plus your lunch and travel expenses will be paid for.
Come along with your parent, carer or guardian and you’ll get to understand more about studying specific university subjects, plus you’ll get lots of information and advice about the range of support available at uni, including a bursary for care-experienced students. We really hope this helps to give you some clear facts about uni, raises your aspirations, and boosts your confidence so you can make some well-informed decisions about your next steps.
