Caroline Flanagan, Director of Higher Education, Writtle University College
Caroline began her career at Writtle University College initially as a livestock technician. This then evolved into a lecturing role, primarily in FE Agriculture and Animal Care. She then moved into the HE Science department and was part of the team that wrote and delivered the inaugural Animal Science HND, then became Course Manager for HE Animal Science and Animal Management. In 2007, Caroline joined the HE management team at Writtle, previously managing the School that offers Foundation, Honours and Postgraduate awards in Equine, Animal and Sports sciences (SSEAS). This is the largest HE School at Writtle, accounting for roughly 50% of HE students enrolled. More recently, Caroline became the Director of Higher Education.

Professor Ross Renton, Principal, Anglia Ruskin University Peterborough
Professor Ross Renton was previously Senior Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Worcester, where he was responsible for a number of key aspects of the student experience, widening participation, employability and a range of partnerships and resources. His experience has included being a designated Widening Participation Expert for the Office for Students, Vice Chair of the Forum for Access and Continuing Education (FACE), and a main panel member of the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) Subject Pilot. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Open University, and was previously Dean of Students at the University of Hertfordshire.

Lucy Murray, Director of Outreach at University of Essex
Lucy is an experienced outreach professional with a wide range of knowledge in widening participation, fair access, Access and Participation plans as well as Admissions. As Director of Outreach, Lucy is responsible for ensuring the University is ensuring fair access across to the University of Essex. The University is committed to ensuring that all students have fair access to higher education, regardless of their background, through a range of targeted activities with schools and colleges. In 2017, Lucy was responsible for securing external funding, to establish the University of Essex as lead institution for the Essex partnership of Uni Connect, Make Happen.
