April 2021 update for schools and colleges

A message from Stephen Pomfret, Head of Collaborative Outreach, Make Happen.

In light of recent developments around Covid-19 and the national improvements, this is to update schools and colleges we work with about delivery of our sessions and resources.

Previously, we had been operating on an entirely virtual, online basis with all content being delivered via zoom or MS Teams. From the start of the summer term, we are now able to deliver activity in schools and colleges. This will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If an activity can be delivered virtually, we will continue to use this format however, where this is not possible, and our staff are happy to do so, we can now accommodate in-person delivery.

We will be following the University of Essex risk assessments and have staff guidelines for those delivering in schools and colleges. Schools and colleges will be asked to agree to our guidelines and we will also comply with any procedures required by your institution.

We really look forward to returning to classrooms, where safe to do so, to support young people from across the region.
