Brightside’s ‘Prepare for Uni’ programme places now available

Make Happen will be working with Brightside again this year on the highly successful Prepare for Uni programme.

brightside imageThe programme is designed to support Year 12 & Year 13 students or those studying within FE colleges through the decision making process in relation to Higher Education. Students will be matched with a mentor based on their background, interests and educational pathway.

Brightside has a large pool of mentors including university ambassadors, from all over the country, as well as mentors from a huge variety of workplaces.

Students will be able to access their mentor via Brightside’s text based mentoring platform accessible through the Brightside app or a web browser, allowing students to interact with their mentor at a time that suits them. Brightside’s mentoring framework will support students through the key topics whilst also allowing students to tailor the programme to meet their needs.

If students are interested in taking part in the programme they need to complete a sign up form here.

Successful students will then be contacted by Brightside so they can find the best mentor for them. Students from Uni Connect target wards or from other under-represented groups will be given priority. However, any student is welcome to apply for the programme.

If you have any questions please contact Stephen Pomfret, Head of Make Happen, s.pomfret@makehappen.org.
