University of Essex, Colchester Campus
For first- and second-year college students, or year 12 and 13 sixth form students*
Sign up for a chance to shadow a university student for a day! Meet and work alongside one of the student ambassadors at the University of Essex and find out more about what student life can be like. The day will include a workshop in your chosen subject area, a study skills & library session and other exciting activities.
Each date is subject themed and will be lead by student ambassadors and academic staff specialising in those subject areas. We have 6 different events for you to choose from:
14th March – Business and Economics
14th March – Sports therapy / sports psychology
20th March – Art History / history
20th March – Creative Writing & English Literature
25th April – Law
25th April – General & Medical Science (in collaboration with Medical Mavericks)
Register your interest by Wednesday 28 February 2024 09:00am, for a chance to be selected. Places are limited, so sign up as soon as possible! If successful, you will get a free one-day experience to discover what life is like as an undergraduate student. Lunch will be provided and travel costs covered. You will need to get permission from your College or Sixth Form to attend this project and you need to provide the name and email address of your tutor when signing up.
*Please note, that spaces are limited and UniConnect students will be prioritised in the shortlisting. Don’t worry if you’re not sure whether you’re a Uni Connect student or not. Your Careers Team will have this information and your details will be checked on completion of the registration form.
