Study skills: advanced note-taking – session delivered by MADE Training
The transition from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 is a big shift in the depth of the content and the demands put on the student. Many struggle through trying to apply the reading and note-taking skills that worked in KS4, but now don’t work so well in KS5. This compact workshop shows your students how to become active readers and how to apply the Cornell Method for taking efficient and effective notes; a technique that will serve them well as they progress on to higher levels of study.

You and your future: the perfect fit
This session introduces participants to the ideas of core values and personality preferences and encourages them to begin to explore these in relation to education and career choices after leaving school or college.  The session first describes the ideas of core values and why these are important in career decisions.  It then outlines a method to begin to understand what they might be.  The session then outlines the idea of personality and, using the Myers Briggs model as an example, explores how different preferences in personality can be a better fit to different work environments.
