ASK Summer Transitions programme

Many students in years 11 and 13 who are preparing to make the transition to their next phase of employment or training may be feeling uncertain about their options and how to navigate what is available, where programmes are available and how to apply for them.

The ASK [Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge for Schools and Colleges] programme has been expanded this summer, to introduce a range of new presentations and resources that will assist young people and those supporting and advising them, to consider their local options and understand what is available to them through local providers.

This is available to every educational establishment in England with students in years 10 – 13. Through the programme, schools and colleges are entitled to access a free, bespoke support package to transform apprenticeship and vocational education awareness activities so that students, parents and carers, teachers and careers advisers, and governors can be informed about the wonderful opportunities available.

The ASK offer has already been expanded to offer even more fantastic activities and resources, including traineeships and T Levels as important stepping stones into an apprenticeship.
